We are deeply saddened to share that Mr FX Hadi Susilo, opzichter (manager) of Ereveld Ancol, passed away on Saturday, 25 April 2026, at the age of 55.

His passing is a significant loss to all of us at the Netherlands War Graves Foundation. For many years, he carried out his responsibilities with great dedication, care, and sincerity in maintaining and looking after Ereveld Ancol. His commitment was reflected not only in his work, but also in the way he welcomed others.

Mr Hadi was widely known for his warm and friendly nature. Families and visitors to Ereveld Ancol often remember him as a kind and approachable presence, always ready to assist and to share his knowledge with genuine care. Through these everyday interactions, he left a lasting impression on many who came to the site.

Beyond his role, he was a kind person, a husband, a father, and a friend who was deeply loved by many. He will be greatly missed by colleagues, visitors, and all who had the opportunity to know him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May he rest peacefully, and may his family find strength and comfort in the days ahead.
